Director Of Development, Self Advocacy And Community Outreach
Current•Developing and mentoring self‐advocate leaders and staff around the issues of person centered planning and self advocacy.•Develop, direct and deliver a self advocacy/person centered strategy with measurable outcomes, and ensure effective monitoring/evaluation and reporting.•Lead the advocacy team, including DRS, agency administrators, coordinators direct support staff, consultants, and individuals in moving towards person centered planning.•As a member of the management team contribute to the development of organizational policies, strategic and operational plans, budgets and risk assessments.•Provide training support to all staff and partners on advocacy and person centered planning. •Manage the communications and budget for the advocacy group.•Assist people supported by Delta Projects in working on their goals towards independence.•Build strong and active relationships between Advocacy group and outside entities.•Identify opportunities for increased positive coverage of Delta Projects in the communities we have homes in.•Represent Delta at external meetings, acting as a liaison with politicians, and local organizations around Self Advocacy and Person Centered Planning.•Strengthen advocacy partnerships and initiatives with local organizations (MASS, SABE, AFP) •Assist with developing relationships, planning public events, and meeting with state, local groups, visiting local groups.Development and Fundraising •Solicit donors for fundraisers•Create and organize fundraising activities for agency•Organize agency functions•Coordinate bulk mailing, fundraising and special event mailings
