I am curious. I enjoy hearing people's stories. I naturally sort, organize, and wonder why things do or don't fit into categories. Sometimes I question the categories themselves. I am a problem solver. During my college years, those interests drew me to study history and to taste different cultures through travel. Later, I was drawn to medicine, where those skills would allow me to make an impact on people's health. I specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology to help women demystify their bodies, support wellness, and advocate and heal throughout the various stages of life. I have over 15 years of clinical experience in a community based full-scope private practice. And I have enjoyed mentoring students and even training other physicians in new procedures. As a managing partner of my group, I successfully transformed our practice through systems, certifications, and reorganization into one committed to the highest levels of patient safety, the patient experience, and improved office culture. This included establishing AAAA certification to create a robust office surgery practice, which had multiple benefits for patients, physicians, and the practice. My momentum was interrupted when I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2014. This pause has refocused my passion to applying my skills and expertise to consulting.
