Angels Foster Family Network is a licensed non-profit foster agency with a unique focus on prevention, based on the stable placement of abused infants and toddlers with trained, nurturing families who promote healing and critical attachment, resulting in healthy growth and development.Duties include: major gifts fundraising, planned giving, donor engagement and stewardship, special events management and general agency marketing.

Home Start is a non-profit child abuse prevention and treatment agency that has strengthened and developed San Diego’s families, communities and systems of care since 1972.Was responsible for grant writing, special events management, corporate sponsorships and marketing.

I developed and implemented segments of a parent and family giving program which provides funding to enhance the students’ college experience, help strengthen academic enrichment and provides a flexible pool of funds for campus-wide student centered initiatives.

I was responsible for raising funds to support the College of Education, College of Engineering and Honors College. I identified and solicited major gift prospects, wrote successfully funded foundation grants and worked closely with Deans and faculty.

During my tenure with the YWCA, I had the opportunity to work in many areas of fundraising including special events, annual giving, sponsorships, foundation relations, marketing and communications, and major gifts. I created and managed the agency’s largest and most success fundraising event – the “In the Company of Woman” luncheon. I recruited and trained 130 volunteers to support the event, which drew 1,700 attendees and netted on the average of $220,000.
