As digital became all that important to Vodafone’s media strategy, there was a need for a dedicated role for digital in the media team. Having almost a decade’s worth of digital experience in media, I was asked to take that role. Thus, I have the full overview and accountability of the digital media strategy and planning. In addition, I deal directly with all our digital agencies to establish smooth and rapid cooperation, and to ensure that all goals are met. Furthermore, I constantly seek and incorporate any latest trends and technologies that might improve Vodafone’s qualitative and quantitative objectives/goals. I also interact with all our internal marketing teams in order to improve their knowledge of digital and improve overall results. Finally, I am the primary contact of my team for the Digital Marketing Acceleration program, pushing for reaching milestones and deadlines for Greece .

I designed the overall media strategy and had the overview of all media campaigns, for all Vodafone products and communications, while maintaining my specialization in TV & Digital. I was also responsible for total media budget (reaching over 20M€). In addition, I managed the overall co-operation with the media agency, pushing for cost efficiencies obligations to be kept according to contracts, continuously measuring, monitoring and optimizing media performance. I was the main contact person for the Vodafone Group (regarding media), as well as for the Vodafone Procurement Company (regarding media vendors). Finally, I was tasked with coaching other members of the media team.

I was hired during the creation of the company’s media department, and was subsequently tasked to aid in designing the framework of co-operation with agencies and assist other in-house departments about the scope and responsibilities of the media department. Furthermore, my main accountabilities were TV, Digital and OOH media strategy and planning. I achieved improvement in cost efficiencies, resulting to significant cost savings for the company through specific metrics for qualitative & quantitative KPIs. Finally, I incorporated digital in the existing media planning, and increased our digital media spend from single digits to double digits as percentage of the total media mix.

My main accountability was to deliver and implement the TV Strategy goals in terms of planning and buying for major Greek and multinational accounts, like Coca Cola 3E, Alumil, Chiquita, Melissa, Mevgal, Optima, My Market. Along with our clients, I was fully involved in the formation of their marketing plans, and in the creation of the ensuing media strategy. Of course, I frequently created and presented reports to our clients, not only talking about KPIs but also with ways of optimizing their media strategy and plans.

My main responsibility was to deliver hard media planning and buying goals for accounts such as Unilever Hellas, Chiquita, Melissa, Mevgal, Optima. During that time, I also had the opportunity of participating in the media planning of new products launches such as Feta Ipiros, Dirollo, My Market, Amita Motion Positive Energy Day, Tsakiris Sticks.

My work focused in delivering TV buying objectives/goals through designing analytical TV plans for several accounts, such as Hyundai, Fourlis Trade, Ideal Standard, Lapin House. To do so, I had to look into several data sources and metrics, negotiate prices and positions, and have the ability to take educated decisions on the fly. Thus, I managed to elevate my expertise from a typical operational role to more strategical one.

My primary task was to ensure delivery of all TV bookings for our clients, and to verify and report on all subsequent airings. During this time I had the opportunity to understand the inner workings of the media industry.

While attending university, I was employed in a travel agency that dealt primarily with the airline sector. Apart from customer service, I organize and planned business travels for our clients, tailored to their specific needs.
