Davis, California

I served as an interim senator for the Associated Students of the University of California, Davis during the Fall 2017 Quarter. My primary initiative as a senator was to restructure and streamline the elections code (Chapter 4 in the ASUCD Bylaws). I authored, with three additional co-authors (and after 50 collective hours of work), Senate Bill #18 which proposed an entire restructuring of the elections code. It was unanimously passed as amended by the Senate on November 30, 2017. Additionally, I supported the ASUCD Elections Committee by helping to create a robust, sustainable internal infrastructure. Beyond my initiatives, in my capacity as a Senator, I attended weekly Senate meetings, commission meetings, held office hours, and voted and discussed on all legislative matters that concerned students, staff, and community members, as well as fielded comments and complaints from those key publics. I served as the "adopted" senator for the Marketing Committee, Creative Media, and the Food Sustainability Taskforce.

I was fortunate to be an active part of the Play-Well family for three years, starting in September 2013 until August 2016. My primary job was working as a sales associate for the Play-Well Marin Activity Center, but I also assisted the office and marketing teams with various administrative and promotional tasks. Play-Well TEKnologies is a Lego education company that aims to teach engineering concepts to children ages five to thirteen using Lego.As a sales associate for Play-Well Marin, I sold and restocked Lego product, booked birthday parties and camps, kept the center clean and organized, and managed and instructed children. I had to answer questions from customers in person, over the phone, and through email. I forged many relationships with frequent customers, creating a welcoming and friendly environment.
