High Horse Power QSK23 engine localization project - Senior Product Engineer  Responsible for prints conversion, parts development of engine, source approval of components. closely worked with supplier and sourcing team for the part development. Raised requests for engine testing, testing planning, rig testing, test cell scheduling, study daily test data and send updates to team, keep tracking of daily engine run hrs and raise a flag for any issues.  Created and released technical specifications and documentation within the official global database system. Worked on various component designs and development like engine lifting bracket, Stamped-Sealing-Sheet metal fabricated parts i.e. rocker cover gasket, camshaft cover gasket, engine peripheral gaskets, cylinder liner seal, oil pan seal, O-ring seals, connection bracket and braces. Achieved cost reduction up to USD 9720 through source approval of engine components. Worked with suppliers to resolve engine components manufacturing feasibility issues and specification deviation requests. Closely worked with Sourcing and QA team for engine component development, Source Release, Source Approval, APQP, PPAP activities. DVP&R tasks completion and its documentation within global database system. Practised Root Cause Analysis and FTA to investigate field failures & address warranty issues.  Responsible for engine tear down and new engine build. Cummins Emission System - Product Design Engineer Carried out CAD modelling, drafting work and optimized the design of After Treatment System (ATS) by using CAE and CFD tools from support team.  Worked on concept generation and coordinated with onsite drafting team to generate new component 3D models, drawings by providing them appropriate inputs, support analysis team for conducting structural, thermal and fluid dynamics analysis.  Used DFSS tools like DVA, Pugh Matrix, RACI Matrix, DFMEA, Project tracking for completion of multiple ATS projects.

 Created and released manufacturing specification & 3D models for multiple auto components.  Worked on engineering parts modifications based on customer requirements and parts commonisation to achieve cost saving. Worked on reverse engineering projects to create & release technical specification for prototype development.
