I covered IT, a bit of startups and technology for the paper, which complements my background as an IT professional. My work entailed keeping tab on all the stakeholders - investors, startups and government. I have also been keeping track of foreign startups that are making a beeline to India. In the technology front, I have been covering cybersecurity and data protection. I write stories about changing IT landscape in India that is now driven by patents, digital transformation and cloud and for some less focus on Indian consumers.

As a reporter with the Hindu BusinessLine, I primarily cover Real Estate,Entertainment, Technology and Tourism and Hospitality related news. I cover start-up ecosystem, politics and commodities as well, the focus being Tamil Nadu. Having worked in the industry for the past three years, I have covered Chennai floods, election coverage in Chennai and Dharmapuri (one of the most industrially backward districts in Tamil Nadu), budget. After 2016 drought in Tamil Nadu, I traveled to Kanyakumari and Tirunelveli to cover agrarian crisis. I keenly follow local industries like fireworks and leather, especially after implementation of GST. Publishing industry is another area of interest, I have written stories on the trends and developments the industry has witnessed in the recent times including start-ups.Regular news stories aside, I write long-form articles BLink, BusinessLine Sunday supplement and also for Hindu MetroPlus on food.

During my four year tenure in Infosys, I worked on Datawarehouse testing in the first two years and manual testing during the reminder of my stint. Datawarehouse testing involved testing Business functionality and data quality at ETL phase and validation of data at Data Load phase. Client portfolio mostly in Retail Domain. Reminder of my time in manual testing, apart from testing, I handled team of eight test engineers in the absence of my team leader. This not only helped me understand the team dynamics better but also work efficiently under pressure without comprise on quality.

Mysuru Area, India

As a final year Information Technology student, the five month internship in Infosys gave me an opportunity to glimpse into corporate world earlier than my peers. Though the training modules were no different from that of regular trainees, the fast track course urged us to learn quicker.
