Sarah is my name and being a resource is my game. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of dipping my toes into different areas of operations – from customer service, to leadership, data analysis, training, and cross-functional collaborations… and that’s just the tip of the iceberg! I began my career focusing in more customer service specific roles, often acting as an advocate and spokesperson for the customer. With my attention to detail, flexibility, and active listening skills, I quickly found that one of my best (and favorite) traits was using my skills and knowledge in order to better the customer experience. Being able to impact a person’s day-to-day life by simply being there for them, answering questions, explaining processes in a way that made sense to them, and troubleshooting ways to make things easier and more efficient for all involved proved to be incredibly rewarding.Now don’t get me wrong, being a resource for customers in previous roles was extremely fulfilling! But then I thought to myself, why stop there? The experiences that I have had throughout my career have pushed me to want to use what I’ve learned to not only help individual customers, but to help drive the entire business. In my current role as a Deductions Analyst, I still get to serve as a resource to our customers, but I have an added layer of helping to drive one of the most important aspects of any business, money. My department is essential for all cash flow through the business and the work that I do has a direct impact on the dollars that my company sees rolling in – a huge motivator. On top of that, I also get to act as a resource to my customers who rely on accurate and timely information in order to handle their business’s own finances. So while my experiences have led me down different paths, I believe that the core skills I’ve gained along the way and my passion to continue learning and growing have allowed me to step into the career-person I always hoped I’d be – a helpful one.
