Vp - Esg Sustainability - Controls Business Partner
Controls Lead for Sustainability & ESG Finance Committee tasked with the development and implementation of an operational framework for the reporting of ESG emissions across scope 1,2&3, performance against net zero targets, and volumes reporting towards Barclays’ £1 trillion financing goal for the transition to a more sustainable global infrastructure. Focused on the strategic formation of current and future ESG initiatives through industry best practices for presenting and reporting disclosures to regulators and stakeholders.Partner with ESG and Impairment process owners for risk and control assessments. Process includes but is not limited to evaluating the inherent risks of each business based on Barclays’ policies and standards, documenting the full design and effectiveness of the controls currently in operation, and performing a comprehensive gap analysis to provide a residual risk assessment.Continuously monitor and prepare to meet the obligations of evolving ESG regulations, both domestically and abroad. Regionally account for new requirements based on TCFD standards for IFRS S1 and S2, CSRD directive, and EU taxonomy Pillar 3 toward greater company-centric accountability, while also adhering to SEC updated guidelines in the US focused on consistent, comparable, and decision-useful disclosures.
