About Sydney Mitchell

I started working when I was 15 years old, since then I have gained experience in the food industry, retail, education/childcare, the justice system, and in telecommunications. I am currently studying Clinical/Counseling Psychology and The Criminal Justice, I am set to graduate with a double Bachelors in May of 2024. I am planning on going to graduate school to receive my Masters in Forensic Psychology. Ultimately I hope to achieve a career in homicide investigation using behavior analysis, if that doesn't happen I would love to work in human trafficking. I am currently interning at the Larimer County Sheriffs Office/Jail in order to gain experience in the justice system and better understand how it works. This experience is allowing me to figure out which parts of the system I want to make a change in and which ones are not suited for my career path and end goal.

    Adams 12 Five Star School District has the BASE Program in all of its elementary/K-8 schools. The BASE program is before and after school education for kids whose parents have to work later in the evenings. In my role as site aid I was in charge of making sure the kids got snack, had help with their homework, supervised their fun activities, and maintaining organization of supplies and my group of kids. It was one of my all time favorite jobs, I would love to go back but it wouldn't help further my desired career path.
