I am a confident, energetic, successful and hard working student about to transition to full-time employment, graduating in May of 2024 from Spelman College, Atlanta, GA. I’m an honors STEM mathematics major, looking forward to starting a career in mathematics or a related field, such as data analytics, financial management, cybersecurity etc. I have completed internships at a construction management firm, the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of High Energy Physics, a medical practice as well as the orthopedic surgical unit of a renowned hospital in the Washington, DC area. My tasks have included data analyses, report writing, project presentations, event planning, and public speaking. I also have work experience as an operations assistant for a female owned business.My strengths are in the areas of planning, communications, leadership and managing tasks through people. I work effectively with individuals and groups and I’ve been a successful leader of people and projects. I have strong written and verbal communications skills and am often called upon for public speaking and presentations. I have worked collaboratively with professionals from disparate fields as an intern, in the workplace as well as on research and community service projects. A self-starter and a fast learner with well honed social and interpersonal skills, I have assumed positions of leadership in the many clubs, organizations and volunteer programs I’ve been a part of over the years. I have refined technical skills which have allowed me to use social media as well as online resources and programs to support the work that I do.
