As a Studio Assistant, I organize and scan hundreds of negatives, create mailing lists, communicate with various outside professionals for a myriad of necessities (such as cassette tape companies and university libraries), evaluate prints and negatives, and assist with exhibition set up and publicity.Additionally, I was permitted to use the darkroom and chemistry, which allowed me to work on my own photography projects and improve my skills.

HealthPlus serves to educate members in both the Vanderbilt University (VU) and VU Medical Center communities in health-related areas. The organization has won awards in the state and nation for its programming. Its most famous program - Go for the Gold (GFTG) - Vanderbilt's helps participants achieve a healthier and more productive life by identifying health risks and taking action to reduce those risks.As an assistant, I am responsible for the following duties:- Greeting and directing individuals who enter the office- Collecting, checking, and inputting data from all Go for the Gold forms- Using RedCap and other servers to obtain and add missing information from forms- Calling and emailing GFTG participants to acquire information inaccessible through such servers- Setting up and taking down events, including the weekly All Aboard program, where I take and record individuals' heights and weights - Reviewing forms uploaded by participants and inputting biometric data via RedCap forms- Other clerical duties, including scanning, printing, and cutting documents, organizing both spaces and sets of documents, assembling gifts and prizes, and attending and contributing to weekly staff meetings.

Peer Guides are Vanderbilt undergraduate students who have received extensive and continuous wellbeing training. The Peer Guide Program provides all undergraduate students with a space to seek peer support and guidance. Vanderbilt University

The Vanderbilt Early Development Lab studies cognitive development, specifically how young children understand simple symbols, such as video images and pictures, in relation to real-life objects and people. The active study during my tenure as a research assistant, which was modeled after Dr. Judy DeLoache's original study, tested 23.5-25.5-month-old children's concepts of dual representation: the ability to see an object both for what it truly is and as a symbol for something else. In this study, we gave children a tour of a room filled with furniture and, once we left, showed the children pictures - either printed or on an iPhone - and told them we will hide a stuffed animal under the piece of furniture shown in a specified picture. The goal was to determine if children are able to recognize that furniture identified in the shown picture represents the real-life piece of furniture in the experiment room. In addition to running participants, I have experience with participant recruitment, data analysis and interpretation, modifying studies, and working with Microsoft Office to create flyers, flowcharts, and outlines.
