Design, develop and support web-based applications and programs

I was the sole developer at Xela Technologies and was responsible for developing and staging the proprietary web platforms. I completed and extended code started by an agency, established requirements with the business manager, and advised tech and policy decisions.I was responsible for the full stack, including front end, back end, infrastructure, services, third-party API integration, relational database, testing, and tools. Additionally I managed corporate email and general documentation.

I was a member of our Front End Developer team based in Vancouver. We were responsible for developing and maintaining Hexonet's websites and some web services.Some of my responsibilities:- update and maintain websites- implement marketing campaigns and content on our websites- review merge requests for new developers- fix bugs and security vulnerabilitiesTech:- Node.js and npm- JavaScript and Typescript- AngularJS, Angular, and React- HTML and CSS- Ubuntu

Originally hired as the receptionist, I was promoted within months to help our business with various other needs. I checked projects before they were scheduled for installation, I ordered and coordinated anything custom, and I updated and maintained our website, email, and phone system.

I worked 5am shifts to shelve books before the store opened. I was also pulled to the sales team after demonstrating an aptitude for customer service. I completed a company challenge to sell 100 copies of my favorite book in 90 days.

I was hired as a Sales Associate in a Nanaimo store. I transferred my job to Richmond when I moved, and I was transferred to the Vancouver head office to be a Marketing Administrator. I cleaned out and maintained a 2-million-record relational database and exported data for our email campaign. As the company began to go under I was asked to take over the Receptionist position and help with the downsizing.
