Conducted fieldwork and analyzed data in four acid-impaired lakes to assess chemical and biological recovery. Skills; statistical analysis of long-term water chemistry and geochemistry, paleolimnological investigations to assess shifts of in-lake diatom communities, and analysis of modern phytoplankton community composition.Synthesized scientific literature relevant to my area of study to identify phytoplankton that serve as biological indicators of recovery from acidification. Identified patterns within phytoplankton community composition that can be linked to both natural variability and disturbance within ecosystems.

Supervise and lead workshops for ~70 undergraduate students where I teach aquatic ecology concepts and techniques. I am responsible for developing teaching materials such as lab assignments, syllabi, visual aids, and supplementary notes for both undergraduate teaching assistants (UTAs) and students.I guide and mentor UTAs, providing feedback and direction on teaching styles, including working collaboratively to establish performance standards and conduct monthly meetings to assess progress.

Conducted fieldwork in support of the Vermont Long-Term Monitoring of Acid Sensitive Lakes Program. Operated water chemistry instrumentation, sediment coring devices and organized planning logistics.Collected and processed samples in a laboratory setting. Evaluated long-term chemical and biological (phytoplankton community composition) trends on acid-sensitive lakes in Vermont using the statistical programming tool, R.

For the US EPA, I supported Water Infrastructure and Finance Act projects that focused on coastal resilience. Specifically, I mapped targeted flood zones for roughly 15 infrastructure projects conducted across the United States, including coastal areas. Using the business intelligence and analytics platform, Qilk Sense, I created interactive data visualizations and dashboards to examine the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles Emissions and Safety inspection program database. I am proficient with the data analysis and graphical representation statistical computing program, R.
