Sydney Lowe (she/her) is a creative producer and executive working across TV, film and artist development. She brings a deep passion for artful and inclusive storytelling, paired with a background in creative development and production working for venerable cultural institutions including HBO, A24, Warner Bros. Television, The Sundance Institute, Film Independent and Participant Media. Sydney is Associate Producer of A24 & Plan B's THE LAST BLACK MAN IN SAN FRANCISCO (Sundance Grand Jury Prize Winner, Gotham & Indie Spirit Nominee, and a President Obama Favorite 2019 Film), and began her career working on the HBO Emmy & Golden Globe nominated comedy series, INSECURE. On Participant’s Academy Award-winning Narrative Film & Production teams, she supported the development of several projects at the nexus of art and activism, including Kahlil Joseph’s upcoming BLKNWS with A24. As Director of Development within Warner Bros. Television, she developed projects by inspired creative voices from historically excluded backgrounds. Her artist development programming experience spans managing Sundance Institute and Film Independent filmmaker labs, screening films for Telluride Film Festival, and organizing showcases, panels and educational workshops– many of which include group efforts that received recognition in Teen Vogue and New York Magazine’s The Cut. Sydney is inspired by the transformative powers of community, collaboration, interdisciplinary study, accessible resources and out-of-the-box thinking. Her profound love for the arts at large and civic engagement have frequently drawn her to inclusive creative spaces that radically reimagine public good. Sydney is a 2024 SFFILM FilmHouse Creative Advisory Board Member, a Film Independent Fellow, a WarnerMedia Fellowship Award Winner and a TIME'S UP Entertainment "Who's in the Room" Creative Producer Mentee. A graduate of Wesleyan University, she currently lives in Los Angeles but is forever a New Yorker at heart.
