About Sylvia C.
I am a recent graduate ( BA, summa cum laude, Linguistics and Spanish, 2022) from Western Washington University, with experience in linguistics research and second language and billingual instruction for both K-12 and adult students. I'm extremely grateful to have received a fellowship from Western to serve as a Linguistics Research Coordinator during the 2022-2023 academic year. During this year, I gained additional experience designing phonological experiments, performing statistical analysis and literature review, and designing and testing innovative Spanish pronunciation pedagogy.I have recently worked part-time as a Spanish instructor for Salud Spanish and as a vounteer organizer for Community First Whatcom. I am open to work in the fields of linguistics, Spanish instruction, political engagement, community services and environmental stewardship.
