Chief Engineer for Platform Integrity Department. This department is responsible for survivability, structures, materials, and environmental technology for Naval platforms/applications, consisting of approximately 550 personnel.Responsibilities include:Development and oversight of policy, processes, and tools for ensuring execution of work with technical rigor. Policies, processes, and tools includes Project Management, Risk Management, and technical reviews (test, design, simulation, etc.).Development and oversight of knowledge management strategies, including technical and professional development/support. Leading cross-functional teams in support of areas above.

Managed Continuous Process Improvement Program for organization of 2,500 employees and six Departments.Led cross functional teams utilizing Lean Six Sigma and change management methodology to execute process improvements in areas of Procurement, Contracts, HR, and Financial/Comptroller processes. Highlights of efforts include:Development of requirements for Contracts Management system.Development of processes for new Procurement Branch.Improvement of financial processes (acceptance of funds) by over 50%.

Analyzed client system reliability requirements in order to develop and manage a testing program to determine reliability of Underwater Mine System and its components. Executed testing of systems retrieved from fleet service and analyzed results to deliver program recommendations in written reports. Presented periodic customer presentations highlighting technical work and enabling key program decisions such as delaying the purchasing of new components at a significant cost savings. Led a 10-person interdisciplinary team through the streamlining of the command’s purchasing process. While this project is not yet completed, it is expected to significantly reduce costs through reductions in purchasing time and centralization of personnel. This role reported directly to senior managers of the command. Led a nine-person interdisciplinary team through the development and implementation of Knowledge Management strategies during the merger of two commands (2000+ workforce). Developed and managed organizational change metrics and reported directly to senior managers of the command.Conducted week-long teambuilding session on topics such as leadership, communications, project scoping, change management, and conflict resolution at the beginning of each project.
