I am a current Northern Arizona University student. I am a first-generation Latina breaking barriers by graduating from Arizona Western Community College and earning my associate's and transferring over to Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. During my years at AWC, I was a student ambassador engaged with the history of the institution, showing the amazing opportunities campus has to offer, and building a connection with our community by volunteering and helping others further their education. At Arizona Western College I worked with two federally funded programs; Upward Bound and TRIO Talent Search. While working here, I organized career awareness events, made financial literacy content available for students, and helped quantify the impact we were making in the community.
