Profile bio

About Sylvie Chartrand

I have a wide range of experiences gained via various program manager positions within the Federal Government as well as in the private sector. Some of the activities I’ve had the most pleasure undertaking include planning out the logistics for a Symposium on Women and the Workforce, developing a wellness program with various training sessions and facilitating workshop opportunities. I have consulted on many working groups, networks and committees and have Chaired 3 of these including the Network for Persons with Disabilities, Business Analysis and Project Mgmt. Working Group. I also had the opportunity to become a Union Steward for a few years during my career, and proudly represented employees who were often mistreated for belonging to one or more of the employment equity groups. This is where I really discovered a passion for social justice. Aside from standing for human rights, I have volunteered on board of directors for various fundraising events and I am a huge animal lover and work with Dog shelters in my spare time.
