My experience in the Tourism sector started in 2000, where I have been working since then at hotel industry mainly.Currently with 40 years old, I hold a position as General Manager, role which I have been doing for the past 7 years, first with the opportunity given of a challenging project to make a successful reposition and improvement of the operational results of a 4 star Hotel in the city of Lisbon integrated in a prestigious hotel chain witch led me to an outstanding project where I was responsible for the development of the concept and pre-opening of a superior 4-star hotel in Lisbon recently opened, and later on to my currently position in a magnificent upscale 4star hotel also with pre-opening duties and daily management nowadays.Previously, at the age of 24, I assumed functions as Department Manager, which I performed for about 10 years with remarkable results, with a revenue growth of over 100% and substantial positive departmental results, period in which I exercised functions of “Manager on Duty” from 2006-2016 and I was awarded with the nomination for best F&B Director at the country by ADHP.In more distant experiences, at the operational level and middle management (6 years), which I performed mostly at the same time of my academic path, I was able to perform different functions due to the experiences and promotions that I was contemplated.Thus, throughout my professional career, I was able to participate two full hotel reopening/renovations and 4 openings processes, including the project I am currently working on since 2021 (hotel with 160 rooms, videomapping concept, 5 outlets, 6 meeting rooms, rooftop pool & bar, gym and several other services)Regarding my academic qualifications, I would like to highlight the Degree in Tourism – Hotel Management, at the “Instituto Superior de Novas Profissões” (a pioneer institute in Portugal in tourism training, with courses organized since 1964 and internationally recognized), as well as Graduation in Hotel Management, at ADHP (Association of Hotel Directors of Portugal), among other training courses taught at EHTL (School of Hotel and Tourism of Lisbon) and at other educational institutions, such as the recent training (June 2020) at Emotional Business Academy (EBA) in Neuroleadership Training (NLP program applied to leadership).
