About Tom Etheridge

I am passionate about the application of technological solutions to solving problems within the bio- and ecological sciences. I spent the first part of my career in academic research where I focussed on the application of molecular genetics and advanced microscopy to visualising biological molecules with nanometre precision inside living cells. I am now co-founder and Managing Director of Ecotype Genetics. Our mission at Ecotype Genetics is to support the protection and conservation of wildlife by providing accurate and reliable genetic solutions to ecologists and environmental consultants. We currently provide DNA-based species identification services to hundreds of clients in the ecology and environmental management sector, as well as custom genetic projects for a range of academic and non-profit organisations.
