I am currently a senior attending the University of Tennessee Knoxville, majoring in Chemical Engineering, with a minor in Material Science Engineering . I am interested in gaining engineering and research experience. I have classroom experience in thermodynamics, fluid flow, heat transfer, chemistry, mathematics, material science, and energy balances. I have worked through the University of Tennessee as an undergraduate teaching assistant for Engineering Fundamentals focusing on Excel and Matlab, as well as my current position as an undergraduate research assistant. The research I am currently involved in is polymer synthesis and 3D printing, under Dr. Rigoberto Advincula. By being a part of these positions, I learned more about the academia environment, as well as the concept and process of research.Before I started my degree I worked at a 5 diamond resort as a beach and pool lifeguard. We were first responders for the resort. Through this experience I learned how to work under pressure, task management and delegation, work in a team, and time management.
