With her experience as the first woman and person of color to be appointed director of the Sundance Festival, and before that as an Emmy-winning director-producer; executive producer; commissioning editor, and nonfiction author she has demonstrated an unshakeable belief in the vital meaning-making role of independent media, and the arts as a public good.
