My name is Tabitha Palmer and I am the founder/ owner of Minimal Optimist. I am a boy mom, wife, nature lover, and optimist at heart. I love spending time outdoors in nature, hanging with my family, and I am always learning new things. During this whole process I've learned all kinds of things related to business including building a website from the ground up through Shopify, POS, Accounting, SEO, Social Media Marketing, and so much more! However, my newest endeavor has included learning to paint with water colors. I started Minimal Optimist because I was looking for a way to purchase products for our home that are better for us and for the planet. What I found was that there was nowhere local specializing in sustainable goods. I was having to order everything online and then taking the risk of something not working out. So I started MO to provide a solution for our local community and offer sustainable goods and unique gifts all in one place. Minimal Optimist specializes in sustainable goods, plants, and unique gifts. Our mission is to inspire confidence in a better future for you and for our planet. Every small act that helps us live more sustainably, show kindness to others, and inspire hope helps create a much wider impact than we'll ever know. We’re a beauty brand dedicated to radical transparency, and our Ingredient Selection Process sets a new standard for health and safety while ensuring our products are effective and beautiful. I knew I wanted to be a part of this movement. Both of my parents passed away at young ages, my dad was 46 and my mom was 52. My mom's cancer was not something that ran in our family and doctors didn't understand where it came from. Once I learned we were being exposed to potentially harmful ingredients in our personal care products and cosmetics, I knew I wanted to make changes for myself and for my family. Beautycounter has really empowered me with knowledge and I am proud to help my friends, family, and community make safer choices for themselves and their families.
