As a member of the security products team under Oracle Cloud, I was involved in designing and developing one of Oracle Cloud's key security product from scratch - Cloud Guard. Oracle Cloud Guard works to perform near real time data analysis, detect threats and misconfigurations automatically, hunt down and kill those security threats without requiring human oversight. Oracle Cloud Guard continuously collects data from every part of the infrastructure and application stack, including audit logs, Oracle Data Safe, Oracle OS Management Service, and third-party products. Oracle Cloud Guard proactively detects and stops anomalous activity it identifies, shutting down a malicious instance automatically, and proactively revoking user permissions when it detects abnormal user behavior. Oracle Cloud Guard provides security administrators the cloud detect-and-response framework needed to lower the time to respond to security misconfigurations and scale-out security operations centers.

• Use the latest and greatest - OpenJDK Java 11, Spring Boot 2 and Spring 5 to develop backend services for critical applications.• Built a Java application that allowed Apple to securely and quickly distribute assets such as iOS beta builds with partners across the globe. • Leveraged Java crypto libraries to build a multi-level encryption system based on AES 256 and RSA 2048 to allow on-the-fly file encryption of binaries. • Leveraged Java concurrent package to build a multi-threaded queuing utility based on producer-consumer design, to support parallel streaming of file parts between Apple's global data centers, improving transfer speeds by 1.5X.• Built a micro-service which served as a gateway in front of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) stack of applications allowing easy plug-in of other Apple services, otherwise difficult to bundle and manage within AEM stack.• Architect applications that leverage CDN, Proxies, Firewalls, Linux VMs, GSLBs, Redis, SQL and NoSQL DBs.• Profiled, analyzed and optimized CPU / Memory intensive application to improve stability and responsiveness thereby improving end-user experience.• Built elegant, responsive and lightweight RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and Java that were consumed by mobile and web clients and other micro-services. • Leveraged Splunk to build an analytics dashboard that recorded and alerted load spikes, REST API response times and application exceptions.
