Essential Access Health (formerly California Family Health Council) is a non-profit organization that champions and promotes quality sexual and reproductive health care for all. Essential Access Health achieves its mission through an umbrella of services including advanced clinical research, provider training, patient education and consumer awareness, public policy and clinic support initiatives. As the administrator of the nation's largest Title X federal family planning program, we partner with a diverse provider network that collectively serves nearly one million women, men and teens annually at more than 340 health centers in 37 of California's 58 counties.

Oversee national initiatives the bring harm reduction to areas with limited resources, develop innovative projects, and support the organizations communications in disseminating best practices and opportunities

Oversees new initiatives and the expansion of capacity building, harm reduction training institute, overdose prevention, naloxone distribution, research and evaluation, advocacy and policy, movement for safer drug consumption services, and other support services to promote harm reduction in the Western region of the United States.

Responsible for the leadership, planning, community interface and oversight of all functions of a 1.6 million dollar non-profit syringe exchange agency. Functions include planning, fundraising, advocacy and board relations. Provides leadership, vision, and strategic direction for the organization and oversees operations (programmatic, administrative, and financial), directs fundraising activities, implements policy, and represents the organization on national, state, city, and community levels. Provides leadership to staff in accomplishing the organization’s mission, goals and objectives. Builds and maintain relationships with financial supporters, funders, and foundations. Seeks out new business opportunities through seeking grants, innovative sources of funding, contracts, and proper execution of all contractual obligations. Supervises the Program Director to ensure that all policies of the agency are implemented in a consistent and appropriate manner. Supervises the Fiscal Manager to ensure all fiscal aspects including preparing budgets and financial reports, monitoring expenses, and meeting financial goals.

WHCP is a non-profit harm reduction program that provides syringe exchange as community outreach to the high-risk drug using community of Washington Heights.

One on one sexual health counseling, school/CBO reproductive health workshops and curricula development

Provided teaching assistance for second year biopsychology and abnormal psychology courses. Prepared, proctored, and marked exams in addition to tutoring individuals students and reviewing term projects

Coordinated weekly teen clinic hours in a separate waiting area to provide group health education sessions on family planning and sexual health topics. Provided individual health education, follow up phone calls, and patient advocate services for abortion services.
