I promise it is not one second wasted and so critical to your loved ones' care and honestly their longevity of fighting the disease; you will never look back and wish you were focusing on something else. The book is based on being 35 years old with 3 kids and the importance of finding the joy, love, and humor that comes along with being a sole caregiver. It is written with an emphasis, 'you gotta laugh to keep from crying." It is also written with the different lessons I learned along the way which I hope will save others time and be a sense of relief that someone understands where they are. In 2002, the only thing we knew about Parkinson's was what Michael J. Fox was doing and how he was handling the mobility effects of the disease. The next 18 years was a roller-coaster of learning through trial and error that Parkinson's is much more evil than just the ability to move freely. The hallucinations, delusions, and personality effects that Parkinson's cause were never discussed. If that wasn't crazy enough, the other parent was diagnosed with Frontal Temporal Dementia and reverted back to 17 years old... coming 2025.
