About Tamara Henderson
I have taught English at Bassett High School for the past 16 years. I taught one year at Edgewood Middle School before that. During that time, I was a literacy coach for three years. I also received Reading Teacher of the Year two years in a row. I trained teachers in READ 180 program at my school site and for other districts. I am currently a member of my site's Guiding Coalition, a teacher leadership group that fosters high academic student achievement for all students. I am interested in moving from the classroom into curriculum design or using my teaching skills in some sort of training capacity.
