I’m a Consulting CMO with over 25 years of experience leading marketing programs for global design firms and local/regional design-build and commercial real estate/development firms. I founded TÆNKE LLC in 2016 with a goal of offering marketing leadership and strategic guidance to small and mid-sized firms in the AEC and commercial real estate industries, as well as the not-for-profit sector. My clients are typically well-established 10- to 150-person firms who wouldn’t typically have a full-time Marketing Director or Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) on staff; but recognize the value of having on-call access to an experienced marketing leader with a “big firm” background – someone who can take their marketing strategy and execution to the next level. As a Consulting CMO, I help my clients get outside of their comfort zones and embrace the type of ahead-of-the-curve innovation that will help them to better compete in their markets, especially against larger firms. I work with C-suite executives, principals, practice leaders, seller-doers, business developers, and marketing teams to assess marketing effectiveness and challenge the status quo. I identify and proactively implement strategic initiatives that raise the bar and capitalize on competitive advantages. My ability to ‘see the forest for the trees,’ immerse myself in each client's culture, and work as an extension of the internal team - not as a typical 'outside consultant' - facilitates a healthy dialogue about both long-term initiatives and short-term priorities to achieve the greatest possible ROI.As a key differentiator, my approach draws upon both AEC marketing best practices and proven methodologies from other key industries, including start-up/tech, retail, and consumer goods.
