All good things come in three: Professionally, my efforts are dedicated threefold to: (i) lawyering, (ii) gender equity and (iii) the future of work. On the personal front, I have three sons, speak three languages fluently and am “at home” in three different cultures. Lawyering: As counsel at Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP in Washington DC and a native from Europe, I advise international clients on high stakes matters. As part of my international arbitration practice, I have successfully represented clients in international commercial and investment arbitrations, including in the energy and telecommunications industries. As part of my compliance, business ethics and white-collar defense practice, I have represented clients in proceedings before international institutions such as the World Bank Group Sanctions Board and US state and federal courts. I also have extensive experience in conducting global risk assessments and trainings (covering both anti-corruption and ESG compliance), internal investigations, M&A due diligence and business partner reviews for my clients’ operations worldwide. My pro bono practice focuses on helping underserved communities and advocating for abused women, immigrants and the wrongfully convicted. I am also part of Hughes Hubbard’s firmwide Pro Bono Committee, assisting attorneys in their pro bono efforts. Gender Equity: I care deeply about gender equity in the law as well as mentoring and creating welcoming workplace environments. I have recently been named to the 2024 Rising List of the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL) and was selected as a "Women to Watch in Leadership" by the Diversity Journal. I am also a committee co-chair of the Women’s Bar Association (WBA) of Washington DC. As part of my WBA co-chair role, I have initiated the Future of Work Speaker Series and currently co-lead the WBA’s mentor-and-fellowship initiative. Future of Work: I am a Future of Work enthusiast. In my role as co-chair of the Professional Development Committee, I have initiated and moderated the WBA’s “Future of Work Speaker Series”, inviting various thought leaders in the Tech, Data and AI but also DEI fields to share their perspectives. I also speak at and attend Tech, Data and Future of Work conferences to better understand, prepare for and harvest the benefits of the changes drastically affecting the legal market, the corporate work environment and the world, as a whole.
