Customer service and access control at a critical infrastructure facility including video surveillance and alarm monitoring in Lenel On Guard programs. Mainly responsible for monitoring, responding and reporting any suspicious activity, security issues, safety hazards, maintenance requirements, issuing of visitor, employee and contractor security access cards and all access granted to such people. Other responsibilities include the use of intercom systems; access control, video and alarm monitoring of 8 different sites across Alberta; visitor, contractor and employee parking enforcement; answering telephone calls coming in to the security desk; conducting physical site patrols of the buildings I am directly responsible for as well as response to any security related issues and reporting of all incidents to the Security and Facilities team. I am also directly responsible for many administrative security duties such as report writing, data entry, photocopying, filing, creating new security documents, logs and spreadsheets, as well as maintaining all log books, yearly auditing and updating of all access cards in our database and various other security administration related duties.
