About Tamara Shoemaker

It's all about the data. Drop me in a sea of data and I will be happy as a clam! When I set out in search of my first job, my one requirement was: do something cool with data. Much has changed since then, but my passion for data is one enduring constant. I am amazed at how many business leaders are starved for good data; putting even the simplest of analyses in front of them can be amazingly eye opening. Data enables you to put meaning behind something you believe, set priorities, identify problems, manage risk and more. I have been fortunate in my career to experience data from different perspectives and appreciate the challenges of maintaining good data. But challenges create opportunities for problem solving and who doesn't love a good problem? Data drives me, but so do people. Nothing gets done by one person; it takes a great team to succeed. In managing a team, I have had the opportunity to coach and develop talented individuals and it makes me happy to see them grow and be successful.
