Serve as a liaison for the Western Region in order to conduct leadership workshops, seminars, and mentor other potential leaders who are interested in working in higher education specifically in the community college environment.Organize, manage, and monitor materials and committee reports.

Global Learning Programs and Services division houses the International Student Program, Study Abroad, Center for International Trade Development, the African Diaspora Program, the Bay Area Entrepreneur Program, ASTEP and CIPHER Learning Communities.

Serve as the Chief Instructional Officer. Responsible for all instructional and non-instructional programs including traditional and technology-mediated instruction, credit and non-credit course offerings, contract education and community service classes. Work closely with Division Chairs. Supervise and monitor all aspects of Career Technical Education programs and faculty. Serve on the Regional Consortium, North Far North. Approve assignments, evaluate faculty, oversee program contracts, and perform related work as required. Provide recommendations for college catalog and work closely with faculty and staff in order to ensure high quality. Develop new programs and monitor curriculum development by reviewing and determine the viability of curriculum. Supervise Learning Support Services which includes the library, learning center, and training centers. Monitor and evaluate all faculty and classified staff in academic services area. Document the assessment of student learning outcomes. Supervise distance education and correspondence education. Write, monitor and evaluate grants. Work in tandem with Student Support Services. Prepare and submit required reports. Serve as the Athletic Director and work closely with California Community College Athletic Association.

Supervise employees, monitor enrollment, write/monitor/maintain grants. Maintain the schedule of the classes and the curriculum development of all courses both credit, non-credit, vocational, correspondence, distance education, and workforce development. Serve as the Athletic Director. Evaluate faculty, serve on hiring committees, and ensure that all policies of the college follow the mission the strategic plan of the college. Make presentations regularly to the Board of Trustees. Work closely in the community to serve as a representative of the college.

• Teach courses in Counseling Department to assist students with their success. The course is titled the Student Success Seminar. • The course involves aiding student in understanding key success issues and obstacles that they face while in college. • The course covers time management, stress, and study skills techniques, learning styles and additional study in planning for future goals.

-Worked on committee to establish yearly goals for the department and communicate effectively the direction of the department in alignment with that of the college.-Collaborated with other faculty in the completion of the Program Review report and maintain record of departmental activity relative to curriculum, vision, mission, goals and challenges.-Served on Basic Skills and Student Success Committees. During the 2007-2010 academic years to secure $598,000 for the department. Along with upgrading the department with new equipment, we were able to develop a lab for lower level ESL students who were not being served adequately by the institution. -Worked closely with the First Year Experience program to ensure that staffing, scheduling and support is available to ensure student success.-Secured $25,000 assistance and working closely with our institutions Associated Student Body to provide tutorial assistant to our Writing Center.-Serve as Project Sheppard for our multi-million Prop A/AA Bond measure. I have worked closely with the building liaisons and the architects to approve every aspect of the renovation. -Assisted in the coordination for the LACCD/LAUSD Faculty to Faculty Collaboration Project and worked closely with Dr. Yasmin Delahoussaye and Dr. Shelley Weston. The goal of the project is to align curriculum with the five model high schools to prepare high school juniors and seniors to be college ready upon graduation from high school. -Worked closely with faculty at other colleges and universities as we address the issues facing ESL students as they work to make their transition from basic skills to college-readiness. One of goals is to establish more common ground as it pertains to English as a Second Language students and their transition into college ready classes.
