Responsible for home health quality assurance in all departments. Assisted with on boarding, maintaining medical records of staff, reviewing OASIS submissions, working with vendors, supporting staff with training and any new rules and regulations as they applied to their direct position

Follow CMS guidelines, develop policies and procedures as appropriate for internal regulation and regulatory changes set forth by CMS. Educate all staff on current policies and procedures and update on new CMS changes as they arise. Support all staff through education on standards of care. Review OASIS submissions and ensure documentation supports OASIS for optimal reimbursement from CMS and private insurances. Review documentation and ensure SOP are adhered to. Communicate with staff and third party venders as appropriate to insure excellence of care. Head weekly care plan meetings to ensure coordination of care and implementation of POC is appropriate for expedient recovery and discharge. Attend internal meetings to review current trends of company and develop, train and implement new policies and procedures to improve any areas that show downward trends. Update policies and procedures as appropriate to ensure compliance. Review billing and adjudicate any discrepancies for successful submission to CMS. Educate staff on any new equipment or treatment as it arises. Communicate effectively with upper management any department trends or consistent discrepancies that have been addressed. Communicate with DON any concerns with individual staff or departments that need corrective action. Be an educational resource to all staff with questions concerning patient care and/or documentation. Hold monthly HHA meetings educate on current concerns and conduct standard training topics.
