Serve as the scouting professional in the Seven Rivers District as well as managerial responsibility of the professional in the Soaring Eagle District, working with volunteers to achieve annual goals. Serve over 1,600 youth in 77 units within seven counties in southwestern Wisconsin and southeastern Minnesota.

Additional responsibilities include:• Develop and execute 2 annual staff planning conferences: Fall Roundup Conference and Growth Conference. • Orchestrate staff meetings and training. • Advise Council-wide Commissioner Service and the annual Scrap-a-thon fundraiser. • Develop Council-wide Recruitment plan and materials.• Develop Council-wide Family Friends of Scouting Campaign fundraising plan and materials.• Develop new luncheon fundraiser in Prairie du Chien community.

Manage all operations of the Seven Rivers District, the largest populated of three Districts within the Gateway Area Council. Seven Rivers District spans Houston County, Minnesota and parts of La Crosse, Vernon, and Crawford counties in Wisconsin. Membership:Develop new Scouting units, monitor the health of existing units and oversee annual spring and fall recruitment. Manpower:Oversee District Committee and Commissioners in conjunction with volunteer District Commissioner and District Chairman. Recruit, train, and maintain effective volunteer teams for various functions. Developed and maintain internship program with local University.Finance: Responsible for generating over $115,000 gross revenue for general operating funds through annual giving and product sales campaigns. Work in conjunction with Development Director in an additional $120,000 fundraising campaign. Responsible for budgeting all assigned events and programming.Program:Provide leadership Council-wide as the staff advisor to Week Long Day Camp, single day camps, Scouting for Food, Venturing programming, Exploring programming, the Catholic Committee on Scouting, and the Scout Mall Show. Provide leadership District-wide for the District Pinewood Derby Championships, Fall Camporee, Spring Camporee, the Klondike Derby, and the District Awards and Recognition Picnic. Communicates all other programs and opportunities to the District.Community:Identify and contact potential community organizations that could benefit from sponsoring a Scouting unit. Sustain relationships with the sponsoring organizations of all Scouting units within the District. Network with local community leaders to identify community resources that can benefit the Scouting Movement.
