Academic Health Plans (AHP) is a student health insurance administrator providing customer service, plan consultation, enrollment, waiver programs, on-campus service, and plan marketing. Our solutions include comprehensive technology services that assist students and plan administrators. We successfully work with both private and public institutions, and medical schools of all sizes, across the U.S. At AHP, we provide affordable health insurance options for all students, so our clients can focus on academics while we focus on student health. In my role, my focus is to ensure the production and development of the RFP’s/RFI’s, sales collateral, digital marketing strategies, as well as client plan materials along with the Corporate and Client Websites. I am an efficient auditor, and I am accountable for auditing over 100 accounts each season with a focus on Compliance Program effectiveness. I also work to ensure requirements are met, risks are identified, and timelines are agreed upon so that internal and client projects are successfully delivered on time. I have a knack for developing and maintaining a superior staff and have successfully facilitated training sessions for small and large groups. While continuously researching avenues to remain knowledgeable with the current trends and honing my craft, I will opt in courses and trainings to ensure my knowledge and skills remain relevant. Having worked with AHP for over a decade, I have seen it flourish at an incredible rate from its modest beginnings to where it is today.

During my time at StudentResources (formerly known as Student Insurance Division of UICI), I started as an Administrative Assistant and quickly promoted to a Junior Auditor which groomed me for my position as the Lead Policy Services Supervisor. I was with StudentResources for over a decade, where I experienced numerous company changes that occurred over the years including its transformation into UnitedHealthcare StudentResources. In my final role, I lead the Policy Service Representatives while designing policy compliant collateral for hundreds of healthcare clients. 2003-2005In my last three seasons at StudentResources, my role evolved into a consulting position where I travelled from DFW to Florida to train the incoming Policy Services Representatives while preparing policy materials for various colleges and universities.
