Paws for a Purpose is Australia's first independent social enterprise and charity solely dedicated to helping people and pets in need. It provides vaccinations for Parvovirus in vulnerable communities around Australia. Parvovirus is a deadly disease that affects over 10,000 puppies and dogs per year. • Applied the Double Diamond Model and started by discovering the pain points of the stakeholder through brief analysis and by interviewing Amelia Metcalf, CEO of Paws for a Purpose.• Created an opportunity canvas and competitive analysis, based not only on pet products or services but also on other NFP organisations.• Conducted interviews to understand what moves the audiences, their understanding of the Parvovirus, and volunteering opportunities. Also conducted usability tests on their current website.• Defined JTBD by creating an affinity map and persona qualities, and designed a persona, together with a user journey map.• Used the SCAMPER method to find solutions to some problems that were highlighted throughout the research, and sketched user flows, starting with paper-based wireframes.• Created a low-definition prototype that was used to run usability tests on the target audience, which included dog owners and a veterinary doctor.• The final product is a high-fidelity prototype, aimed to improve the volunteering section and overall user flow of users while visiting the Paws for a Purpose website.
