Working under Prof. SangHyun Lee and PhD student John Jiu Sohn to research and develop recommendation algorithms for pedestrian navigation and mapping for the lab's mobile app. My roles include:Spearheading the development of a full-stack Android app designed to reduce navigation stress and optimize safety for pedestrians by leveraging React Native with native Kotlin bridge, Typescript, Mapbox Search & Navigation SDKs, Google Cloud Platform, with Python for modified algorithms using Dijkstra's and A* for route generationIntegrating Mapbox Maps & Directions APIs to generate real-time turn-by-turn navigation experiences and uploading 310+ beta-testing user profiles to Google Cloud Platform for post-test surveying and user preferencingCollaborating with Liberty Mutual and Texas A&M researchers to improve the plotting of 5500+ coordinates of 3D objects, such as benches, trees, and pedestrian signs into our map views for an immersive navigation experience

I lead our university's Tech for Social Good student organization as the director of the software engineers at our club.
