Working with clients to understand their business and communication/marketing needs, then designing business-aligned strategic plans and delivering effective communication outcomes that help them hit their business goals.

High-level advisory role working with the senior leadership team, I established and defined the new communications function as an integral part of the division and introduced initiatives and processes to support the communications needs of the SLT and 2,500 staff located Australia-wide. Initiated and completed an audit of the division to map its environment and existing communications landscape. Produced and implemented a comprehensive communications strategy and processes to support the identified needs of the business, management and employees. Delivered communications advice and solutions to support a broad range of business activities, including change/transformation programs, internal campaigns, issues and events. Following this role, I took a career break to pursue other challenges and experiences, which led to freelancing.

Developed and delivered, within tight timeframes, a tailored communications program to inform, educate and support the transition of 2,200 national staff to a new remuneration process.

Responsible for developing and delivering creative solutions to support the business strategy and culture change.

Established the communications function as an integral part of this IT division in order to support its B2B objectives. Developed and delivered strategic communications programs, improved and invigorated existing approaches, and introduced initiatives and processes to achieve set outcomes.

Delivered programs to inform and educate Australian consumers about their telecommunications rights and safeguards, and emerging telecommunication issues. Rejuvenated the ACMA's quarterly consumer 20-page magazine and achieved increase in readership.

Working with national and multinational clients to develop, deliver and evaluate programs to educate employees about key company benefits. Communications involved translating financial information into explanations that were understood and valued by employees. Clients included: BASF, Carter Holt Harvey, GlaxoSmithKline, Mitre 10, Siemens.

Worked with a range of clients to implement, monitor and evaluate various programs to promote products, services or brands, which included: fashion, art and food retail.

Produced a diverse range of communications programs to support the many and varied activities of this busy local council and active community. Delivered a broad range of communications programs and activities, including: PR and marketing programs, media relations, issues management, stakeholder relations, community research and engagement, publication production, website management. A highlight was recognition for the media campaign produced to promote the opening of Australia’s first purpose-built recreation playground for children of all abilities - achieving local, national and international attention.

Responsible for supporting various aspects of the marketing and media activities of this major international event, including: media relations, promotional activities, international media accreditation, marketing support, corporate client liaison, and organising corporate functions.
