I provide administrative support for the Institute’s internal operations, making sure that details behind the scenes are completed in a timely manner. I also offer a friendly smile at the front desk and keep the office running smoothly and efficiently. Specifically I provide assistance to the Fiscal Director by processing accounts payable/receivables, staff reimbursements, and travel authorizations. Sustainable Solutions is a Home Performance, Solar and Small Wind Trade Ally contractor with Energy Trust of Oregon, and we specialize in making homes and businesses more energy efficient, comfortable and safe. I am the Project Coordinator and educate new clients on energy efficiency and renewable energy services, as well as information on incentives and tax credits available. As the Statewide Tour Coordinator at Solar Oregon for the Oregon Green and Solar Tours, I serve as the contact and support liaison for the Local Leads coordinating tours in their communities. In this role, I connect local tours to others across the state in an effort to streamline media coverage, and improve the efficiency and quality of all the tours. This position also connects Oregon’s tours to the National Solar Tour effort coordinated by the American Solar Energy Society. I coordinated all volunteer, event and outreach efforts, and developed partnerships with educators and organizations interested in our programs. I managed all administrative tasks including invoicing the Million Solar Roofs grant program, tracking points and interfacing with Earthshare of Oregon, designing and distributing the Solar Oregon newsletter plus other marketing pieces and letters as needed, and working closely with the Board and Executive Director to provide support with all development and marketing efforts.
In 2007, I worked part time with Merryman Barnes Architects as their interim Office Manager serving as the receptionist, and organizing the office for efficiency. Merryman Barnes Architects is the largest all women owned architectural firm in the Pacific Northwest, designing energy efficient homes with green building and solar strategies. The firm benefited from my strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to learn office systems quickly, and my determined motivation to working with technical consultants to find solutions to various network and equipment issues.
As the Program Assistant at Save Our Wild Salmon Coalition I provided administrative assistance to all aspects of the Policy program, including coordination of events in Washington, DC and the Pacific Northwest.
