My experience with restaurant management has given me learned qualities of being organized, accurate, and detail oriented when it comes to effectively running the business. Along with these strong traits, my undergraduate degree in Integrated Communications has trained me in areas of both the communications and business aspects. I am an aspiring project manager that is open to training programs as well as undergoing needed certifications to fulfill job requirements. I am an adept learner that quickly grasps concepts in all areas. Additionally, my experience as the Event Project Manager Intern with Downtown Lynchburg Association has given me hands-on experience with event and project management. Throughout this time I helped plan and execute project events including: Tunes & Takeout: finding musicians to perform, advertising campaigns to attract locals, document demographics, and create project reports based on this criteria for yearly filingSmall Business Saturday Project: promoting locals to shop small to support neighbors as well as their community, researching and analyzing economic trends and how financial circulation stimulates the local economyDonor Support Projects: personalizing letters and mailing them to previous and prospect donors in the area to continue DLA's support in creating a thriving downtown area.My current personal project is "Reestablishing Excellence in the Hospitality Industry" The project workflow includes a series of training days with specific targeted goals that is reported and reviewed by both the staff trainer and shift manager on duty, documenting staff notes, and personalizing coaching to meet employee needs to match performance expectations.
