Being part of the global SCM management team, representing APAC. I play a key role in shaping the SCM landscape of the company by pushing commodities sourcing in Asia. Key responsibilities include strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation, strategic recommendations and developing new suppliers to support business growth in a profitable manner in ASIA and for ASIA. As a key member in the global procurement management team, I am also driving and providing direction, leadership and support to the in-country sourcing engineers in ASIA Pacific where Jenoptik has its site presence. Additional responsibilities include accelerating the relocation of footprint from Europe to Asia site. Through pro-active communication and negotiation to deliver regional purchasing spend KPIs. Develop regional frame contract and supply key purchase agreement to effectively manage a stable stream of supply with the right price

Responsible to source globally to find the right price strategically to achieved the right pricing. Develop structural relationship with key commodity suppliers and managed key contract manufacturers. Develop an appropriate risk mitigation strategy through an appropriate supplier network to maintain continuity of supply whilst reducing risk within the supply chain as a whole. Ensure that the global and strategic procurement policy fits in to the overall company strategy

My responsibilities include localized, re-source/outsource some of the key modules from a US source to a Asia Source Directed efforts to initiate lead time reduction strategies and cost reductions strategy to meet key metrics. Proposed hedging strategy to reduce lead time and with minimal costs exposure. Mitigated risks exposure and meeting the target inventory turn.Drive key suppliers to move to freight and store to in a local warehouse to meet Kanban deliveryAppointed Purchasing Trainer for the Belgium and China office in the SAP Training module for the fellow’s buyers.
