The Internal Controls organization undertakes to develop, establish and maintain operational and financial controls L&T wide given that the regulatory framework (Companies Act, 2013, SEBI, ICAI, etc) have entrusted significant responsibilities to the management including Board of Directors of the company.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) at their Corporate Office in Thapar House, Eastern Wing, 124 Janpath, New Delhi – 110001. This company deals with businesses in areas of Aerospace and Defence having plant at Hyderabad – which is an SEZ unit. In addition more units - that are EOUs, are having joint ventures between TASL with world renowned Aerospace and Defence - American and Israeli companies. TASL is the holding company which drives Tata’s Defence and Aerospace initiatives within the company and outside, through a group of subsidiaries/joint ventures.

As the Chief Financial Officer my role was to oversee the finance function for the company. During my stay here I had the opportunity to acquisition of “Christy” – the largest towel maker in UK and the only supplier of towels to Wimbledon. It has its operations in the US, UK, Mexico and India (Stores are all over the country).Welspun’s textile plant at Anjar adopted SAP as its ERP system. Guided cross functional teams of people to implement in SAP finance and operations systems - almost all modules (MM, FICO, Production, Costing, etc) for the plant.Additionally, participated in Quarterly Earnings Call as the CFO of Welspun Limited along with the CEO and carried out the Investor Relations Activities for the company.

Heading and overseeing the finance function for the company. Additionally, when IBM acquired Daksh eServices, I played the role of leading the integration of all systems and processes of the company into IBM’s systems and processes. I had a wonderful experience to learn how island systems in IBM can work seamlessly without any hindrance. In order to achieve a smooth transition a good amount of developmental work had to be undertaken.

Overseeing the finance function for the company. This was the first hospital in India that was corporatised. The financing was alos done through a project finance approach. During operations, the term loans were restructured in order to reduce cost of funds. Guiding computerisation of hospitals systems and processes were an interesting part of my role.

Heading the Corporate Finance function for the company. Played the role of a Financial Controller for the business divisions. All the finance heads of the business divisions were reporting into my position. Aprt from my normal rouine finance and controller's role I introduced the Investor Relations function for the company. The market value of the company increase manifold in the bourses due to proper dissemination of information and connectivity for increasing investor awareness about the company.

Overseeing Financial Planning, Strategic Finance, Treasury Operations, Funds raising, Cash flow Management functions for the company. A joint venture (JV) with Ugine of France was being discussed for a green field stainless steel project at Bharuch, Gujarat. I was representing the finance function of the Indian company in the JV negotiation team.
