• Preparation and maintenance of Cell Cultures in the Bio-Safety Level 3 (P3 room) and reading of the culture plates to detect presence of TB.• Operation of the GeneXpert software and cartridge (Real-Time PCR) to diagnose TB using several specimens such as bone marrow aspirate, bronco-alveolar lavage (BAL) fluid, sputum and urine• Use of the LAMP technique, a nucleic acid amplification technique for the detection of TB in sputum• Use of Flowcytometry for the immunological diagnosis of TB using biomarkers• Use of the T-SPOT technique for the immunological diagnosis of TB• Utilising the Conventional Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) as an alternative molecular diagnosis of TB.• Use of LAM ELISA and Dipstick methods that utilise human urine to diagnose TB• Evaluation of the urinary LAM lateral strip tests to detect TB• Evaluation of the IGRA and TST immunological assays and assessing their value in the diagnosis of TB• Preparation of sputum samples for Slide Microscopy (ZN stain and Fluorescence: auramine- rhodamine) and producing results for evaluation.• Tissue culture in the Biosafety Level 3 Lab• Drug treatment assays • MTT cell proliferation and Migration assays • Cancer cells migration techniques • RNA and DNA extraction, purification and quantification • Protein extraction, purification and quantification• Western Blot • Gel Electrophoresis• PAGE techniques
