About Tara Cohen, Phd, Chse

My interest in human factors is drawn from a background in psychology combined with my passion for aviation and interest in design. Throughout my private pilot training, I became interested in the complexity of systems, how they function, and how to better design them for the user. Because of my background, I have developed an interest in understanding how human behavior plays a role in complex environments, and what can be done to increase safety and efficiency throughout various systems. I am currently a research scientist in the department of surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center
