I am a licensed alcohol and drug counselor and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in supervision and a graduate of the Rehabilitation and Addictions Counseling master’s program at Saint Cloud State University. As someone with personal experience in recovery, I have a sincere desire to help people overcome life’s challenges. I enjoy spending time with family and friends and taking walks with my dog. I also enjoy reading and educating myself on the most up to date mindfulness practices. I am all about empowerment and truly enjoy helping people figure out how to thrive in life. I implement a strengths-based approach when working with clients and pull primarily from person centered and cognitive behavioral theoretical orientations. I believe that human beings have a huge capacity for growth and change if they are given the necessary tools and support. I want to help clients gain more self-awareness and provide an environment that empowers them and helps them to feel safe and understood.
