Malachi Center was founded in 1985 to extend the outreach of the 140-year-old St. Malachi Parish through formal programs and services.Today, Malachi Center is a non-profit organization serving those dealing with socio-economic, structural, and trauma based barriers to economic, academic, and interpersonal success.Malachi Center’s value and strength in the near west-side community is rooted in the network of relationships built with a diverse array of residents, partners and stakeholders. Of these relationships, none is more important than that of the relationship with our participants. This relationship is built on trust that the Center not only is a place that “does good work” but is a place of stability, direction and connection.

Led this primarily earned-revenue organization’s efforts to establish a culture of philanthropy. • Increased annual giving amongst individuals and corporations by 42%, and social media engagement by 9%, over five years. • Integrated multi-channel marketing communications plans, including a 10th Anniversary campaign leading to a 10% increase in revenue + 4% increase in social media following. • Fundraised for and helped develop new website = 80% growth in ecommerce + 140% increase in website traffic. • Served as the organization’s chief spokesperson resulting in a 20% increase in media placements.
