Skilled ecologist and natural resource manager dedicated to public service and interested in all facets of effective conservation, from restoration and education/outreach to sustainable use and policy. I currently serve on the Texas Trustee Council as a natural resource Trustee/NRDA biologist and help assess natural resource damage, as well as manage multiple restoration projects throughout coastal and inland Texas.I have extensive experience in large scale project management, storm response, utilizing geospatial tools, and working with stakeholders and project partners (federal/state/local gov, NGOs, businesses, private citizens) and successfully led prior projects involving 91 miles of Texas coastline, 89 miles of tidal rivers, and removal of more than 40,000 cubic yards of storm debris from public lands and ecologically sensitive areas, such as critical habitat for piping plovers. I also worked closely with federal partners to design and lead two innovative pilot projects to utilize woody debris for vegetation/sand stabilization and as dune protection.
