As a Program Coordinator at Kaya Responsible Travel, I work as part of the Groups Team in developing socially conscious educational faculty-led and group programs in 28 countries across Africa, Asia-Pacific, and the Americas. Whether you are a University, Business, or a Special Interest group, with our industry knowledge, local network and responsible travel lens, our structured programs deliver on your unique learning goals while providing global insights and cross-cultural engagement. We will work with you from start to finish to create a group program that you and your group will never forget. I have been a travel enthusiast ever since my first service-learning trip out of the country to Haiti when I was in high school, and have since biked across Spain, cascaded waterfalls in Costa Rica, explored a colonial city in Nicaragua, climbed a volcano in Guatemala and swam with the whale sharks in Isla Mujeres. After college graduation, and with two study abroad experiences under my belt, I knew it was time to break out the passport once again; I accepted a teaching internship abroad in Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Upon earning my TEFL Certification, I had fallen in love with the beautiful little island and called it home for many years, first working in the field of Education at a volunteer abroad organization and later transitioning to the Hospitality & Tourism industry as a Vacation Rental Property Manager & Concierge/Trip Planner. I have since transitioned to International Education, and love being able to help develop the same amazing opportunities for students and travelers, that were available to me while attending university, and contributed to the person, traveler and professional I am today. Located in US / Mexico. I currently connect with my team remotely (the office is where the WiFi and coffee is!) “A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions.”
