23Strands is a genomics company that uses genomic sequencing and artificial intelligence to deliver personalised healthcare that specifically caters to an individual's genotype and phenotype characteristics. For example, different patients suffering from the same diagnosis can have different prescription and dosage that is uniquely catered to their genetic profile→ Lead the team in developing and commercialising dashboards on CLL research papers, unlocking a $120M opportunity, featuring scientific evolutionary pathways (SEPs), co-occurrence and network analytics. This identified which drugs were associated with which diseases, and leading experts in specific drug-disease combinations. NLP was used to extract institution, drug, gene and author information from raw PubMed records→ Developed an end-to-end pipeline that reduced the development time of cardiovascular treatment guidelines by over a year. It extracted citations from research papers using a custom OCR then interacted with Zotero using a computer vision model to process their meta-data, with an algorithmic model ensuring the correct paper was added→ Constructed a CRM base by scraping 20 sites using Selenium, extracting contact details, occupation and interests of thousands of Australian clinicians. This required creating solutions to bypass CAPTCHA and adapting to different sites. The data was then clustered using unsupervised learning techniques to construct user profiles→ Developed deep learning models to categorise patients into risk categories using mixed phenotype/genotype data and improving inference time from 90 minutes to 6 minutes. Developed API endpoints with Django to deploy these models→ Engineered an algorithm solution for searching and building multi-index data-frames that reduced query times from 12 hours to 3 seconds
